Thief is a stealth game by Eidos
Montreal. Game is the sequel to its predecessors and the fourth installment in
the Thief game series. Player takes control of Garrett who is a master thief.
Garrett steals things from the rich. Player must utilize a specialized strategy
in order to face the challenges that come in the game. Combat is not so
upgraded as the player must steal things silently and without coming the sight
of guards. Player has the option that how to steal a thing. Player can use the
environment as a turning point in order to vanish or melt in the crowd when
someone tries to find the player. Player can enter the focus mode in which
garrett can see more ways such as pipes that can be climbed, hiding spots, or
candles that can be put out to make area darker. In dark areas, player can
steal more effectively and can steal more things. Player handles new melee
weapons such as compound bow which can be used in both combat and non-lethal
purpose, a blackjack which can be used to knock enemies down, a claw which can
be used to grapple and much more. Player can purchase new and upgraded weapons
by the money player gets by completing missions. Garrett comes back to his city
and find it ruled by a tyrant named The Baron. The rich live in luxury while
the poor are infested with a plague. Garrett tries to give poor the life they
wish to have. Completely new parkour system with which player can perform new
moves. Game's environment has been made in such a manner where player can
perform several interesting activities such as surveillancing other people in
order to extract the exact location of things. Game's graphics and visuals has
been upgraded to ultra level and new sound effects has been added to game.
